Jeré Reid is a woman of many titles and talents, all of which relate to her purpose of nurturing the mind, body and spirit. By day, she is a high school advance placement Government teacher. When she isn’t busy instructing her dozens of students, she is a motivational speaker, natural hair and beauty blogger. 

After a nationwide search, Jeré was chosen to be a My Black is Beautiful Ambassador. This Proctor & Gamble sponsored organization is designed to empower and motivate Black Women and young African American girls. Through her work as an ambassador, Jeré has appeared in numerous publications including, O, The Oprah Magazine, EBONY, Essence, Uptown Magazine, and Sister to Sister.

In regards to her purpose in life, Jeré states; "As  women, we are constantly bombarded with images of beauty that contradict the unique and real beauty of ourselves… if I can remind one young girl or woman of her beauty, I am living in my purpose.” 

Through her website, Nappturally Chic Jeré, the beauty enthusiast fully embraces her passion of uplifting women and equipping them to realize their inner glow. This passion has allowed Jeré to mentor a number of young ladies and conduct workshops on natural hair care, self esteem, and empowerment throughout the United States and Canada.

Jeré, who is a child of a God and a music lover, serves as choir director and worship leader at Solid Rock C.O.G. in Kissimmee, Fla., where she ministers through song on a weekly basis. She resides in the Sunshine State with her husband and two adorable daughters.

 Jeré started started her YouTube Channel, Nappturally Chic Jeré in November 2012. Her goal was to just to inspire a few women. After seeing the success of her YouTube channel, Jeré decided to create a website entitled, Nappturally Chic Jere. Her goal was to inspire just a few women, but her passion and sincerity helped her create and maintain a successful and growing YouTube channel, (gaining 5,000 subscribers in under a year), steady viewership of her blog, (average of 150 readers), and a consistently growing following on Instagram and Facebook.

After the creation of her blog in January 2013, Jeré got the exciting news that she was and continues to be featured on many popular natural hair websites and blogs, including but not limited to, Natural Hair Daily, Natural Hair Does Care, Team Natural, Natural Hair Mojo, Urban Hair Post, Intro To Fashion 101, Luv Your Mane, Black Girls Long Hair, and the one and the only Curly Nikki. Though Jeré and the Nappturally Chic Jeré brand has just started to grow, the countless women that have been inspired, the many opportunities that have presented themselves, and the early stages of success can only be contributed the power and favor of God.

Jeré has also taken her passion for inspiring and motivating all to find their beauty and her knowledge of Natural Hair Care to new heights. She has been asked to travel and teach other women about Natural Hair Care, Self-Esteem, and Beauty by leading workshops and sharing with meet up groups in the Orlando area and beyond. She led her first successful workshop on September 28th, 2013, where she spoke to approximately 100 women on the benefits of Learning to Love Your Natural Texture with the L.O.C Method. Jeré has recently traveled to Texas as a V.I.P Vlogger for the TeamNatural's Natural Hair All Star Weekend and served as a panelist for the Nzuri Natural Hair Festival in Houston, Texas. She has recently broaden her brand internationally, conducting her first workshop in Toronto, Canada (Feb 2014, Celebration of Curls). 

In 2014, Jeré was blessed with the opportunity to be one of the six, first ever, My Black is Beautiful Brand Ambassador. This amazing opportunity gave her an additional platform to inspire and motivate women and young girls under the initiative of "Imagine a Future" and Beauty in Action.  

Jeré has a simple reminder for the use this platform: "I just want to Celebrate Beauty; the inner beauty that amplifies the outer beauty and the unique personal style that ties it all together! I want everyone I have the pleasure of interacting with to know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and that it is amazing to Be Chic! Be Beautiful! Be You!
