Style Upgrade: My Box Braids :)

After that last post about box braids, I was so inspired to do one of my favorite protective styles! I got small box braids using Kanekalon braiding hair. I used about five packs and it took about TWELVE hours!!! Even though it is a very time consuming process, I'm looking forward to giving my hair a much needed break from everyday styling in the winter months. My goal is  to keep them in until The first week in March. My care plan will be as follows ...

1) Lots of Moisturizing. (KBB's Sweet Ambrosia Leave-In and Olive Oil.
2) Limiting the amount of Up-Dos to reduce tension and pulling on my hairline. I wll be using large headbands instead of small elastic pony holders to pull hair up.
3) Will wash braids as needed.
4) Pray for strength when it is time to take these braids out... Lol

If you are thinking about getting braids, check out my previous post on box braids and haircare tips  below.
